Wax Burning Instructions
Secrets of Burning Olive Waxes
Quick guide
To ensure the wax in the scented burner releases its full aroma, it is worth adjusting the amount of wax to the size of the room.
Some tips:
✔ Before using new wax for the first time, allow it and the wax burner to reach room temperature,
✔ add enough wax to the bowl of the fireplace so that it does not spill over the edges after melting,
✔ one burning session should not last longer than 3-4 hours – this will prevent the wax from overheating and preserve the scent,
✔ when extinguishing a tealight in the fireplace, avoid blowing it out – it is better to extinguish it gently, e.g. with a snuffer, to limit the smoke,
✔ After burning, the burner and wax will be hot and liquid – wait until the wax has completely hardened before touching or replacing it.
Why does wax have "imperfections"? Air bubbles, unevenness, or slight cracks in the wax cubes are a result of handcrafted production and the natural composition. These are not defects, but rather a mark of the craftsman's work—each batch may look slightly different.
Extended manual
Olive wax melts in a scented burner are a simple way to fill your interior with natural aroma. A few simple tips will allow you to enjoy the fragrance longer and more safely.
Preparing the fireplace and wax
Before use, place the wax burner on a stable, non-flammable surface, away from drafts. Place 1–2 wax cubes (depending on the size) in the bowl.
Adjusting the amount of wax to the room
In small spaces, a smaller amount of wax is sufficient; in larger spaces, you can add more blocks or install a second burner. Too much wax in a small space can be overwhelming, so it's best to start with a smaller amount.
Wax burning time
Don't burn the wax for more than 3-4 hours at a time. After this time, extinguish the tealight and allow the wax to harden. The same batch can be remelted as long as the fragrance remains.
Safe extinguishing
It's best to extinguish a tealight in a fireplace without blowing it out—using a snuffer or lightly covering the flame to limit smoke. Once the flame goes out, don't move the fireplace until the wax hardens again.
Security
A fireplace with a burning tealight should always be kept out of the reach of children and pets. Do not leave a lit fireplace unattended and do not place it near curtains or other flammable materials.
